Scanners tackle NI sheep thefts

Shepherds in Northern Ireland are using new electronic scanning equipment to deter sheep rustlers.

The devices are being used to scan the retina in the eyes of the animals.

Details of the sheep are held in a computer data base, making it easy to determine who owns the livestock. Mark Simpson reports.
