UK rejects Unicef child study

England is meeting only half the minimum standards vital to give children a proper start in life, according to a United Nations Children's Fund report.

The organisation looked into the care and education of the youngest children across 25 developed countries and put England in joint 11th place.

The government has rejected the survey's findings. Sarah Campbell reports.
