On 26 November 2007, Radio 4's More or Less asked whether the financial mathematicians known as "quants" were to blame for the credit squeeze.

Presenter Tim Harford talked to Professor William Perraudin of the Tanaka Business School at Imperial College London, and to quantitative finance lecturer Paul Wilmott. He began by asking Paul Wilmott to explain what a "quant" is.
