The art of Cosplay originated in Japan and comes from the words 'costume' and 'play'.

Participants hold conventions and parties where they wear handmade and customised outfits based on characters from animation, video games, Manga comics or films.

Fans from around the world came to the UK's first international Cosplay event in London.

Celebrated cosplayer Yaya Han was among the performers at the ball.
