Baby P: Reaction to 'damning report'

An independent report has found serious failings in Haringey Council's handling of the case of Baby P.

The 17-month-old boy suffered a sustained period of abuse by his mother and two men, even though he was on the North London council's child protection register.

Children's Secretary Ed Balls, Shadow Children's Secretary Michael Gove, Ofsted inspector Christine Gilbert, and Haringey Council Leader George Meehan give their reaction.
