More in need of 'crisis loans'

The number of people on low-incomes applying for "Crisis Loans" has jumped by over 40% in the past year, say the Lib Dems.

The figures obtained by the party also showed that the number of applications in October was the largest in any month since the scheme was established.

Jenny Willott is the party's work and pensions spokesperson.
