Noel Martin meets Liz Carr

Noel Martin was paralysed after being attacked by a racist gang while he was working in Germany in 1996 and has signed up with Swiss suicide clinic Dignitas to kill himself.

A block of concrete was thrown through his car windscreen and he then hit a tree which left him paralysed from the neck down.

Comedian Liz Carr uses a wheelchair and needs 24-hour care but her attitude towards living with a disability couldn't be more different. This is what happened when they met.

Figures obtained by 5Live shows he is one of 725 British people registered with the clinic. The UK now has the third highest number of people on the suicide list - after Germany and Switzerland.
