Over 300 objects from the Cold War era, including espionage equipment and a Russian Vostok spacecraft, feature in a new exhibition in London.

As the Cold War Modern exhibition goes on show at the Victoria and Albert Museum, writer Nigel West looks at the culture of fear during the period 1945-70 and asks whether we are about to enter a new cold war.
