Konnie Huq and Rajini Vaidyanathan went to the seaside for Your News to report on the stories, pictures and e-mails you've sent to the BBC over the last week.

We meet Matt, a surf lifesaver, who's says a fashion craze in Cornwall could be putting lives at risk on the counties' beaches.

And after an advert appeared calling for plumbers to work in the Antarctic, we asked the people in Newquay what their best and worst jobs would be.

Watch Your News every weekend on the BBC News Channel at 15.30 on Saturday.

The programme is repeated at 10.30 and 23.30 every Sunday.

This episode of Your News from Newquay was first broadcast on the BBC News Channel at 15.30 on 13th September 2008.
