The 'squeeze' families

Meet our panel of families charting how the squeeze on household incomes is affecting them.

Some of them are analysing their spending habits to see where they can make some cuts. Most are worried about rising energy bills.

They gave us their first instalment in July and we will be checking back with them every month to see what they are doing to make the most of their money and if they are making any changes to their spending habits.

UK inflation reached 5.2% in September with energy bills behind much of the rise, according to official figures.
