Newcastle United footballer Joey Barton has been given a four months suspended sentence and community service after pleading guilty to assaulting team mate Ousmane Dabo.

Barton, 25, is currently serving a six month prison sentence for assault and affray after he was involved in a violent attack in Liverpool city centre last New Year's Eve.

A judge ordered the CCTV pictures of the December attack to be released after Barton pleaded guilty to the training ground assault.
