A 24-year-old suspected terrorist who breached his bail and went on the run three days ago has been arrested.

Scotland Yard said the unnamed man was held by police in east London at 1430 BST on Sunday.

The man is due to face trial later this year, accused of conspiracy to cause explosions and conspiracy to murder.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said he will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday to face a single charge of breaching his bail.

The police spokesman said: "A 24-year-old man has been arrested by officers from the Metropolitan Police for an alleged breach of bail.

"He was arrested at approximately 2.30pm today, and is currently at an east London police station where he remains in custody."
