Man detained in anti-terror probe

A man is being questioned by police on suspicion of terrorist offences after he was arrested at Manchester Airport.

Anti-terrorism officers are searching three properties following the arrest of the 31-year-old man on Friday afternoon.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said armed officers were not involved in the arrest.

He confirmed one of the properties being searched was in Bury and another was in north Manchester.
