BBC documents show how shipping firms and the government tried to block a 1947 radio play about the Titanic, for fear of damaging the industry.

Recordings of the survivors have been made public on the BBC website to mark the anniversary of the sinking, including Cmdr Charles Lightoller, the most senior officer to survive the tragedy who made this recording in 1936.
