A teenager is seriously hurt after being shot at a sports centre in south-east London, police have said.

The victim, believed to be 18 years old, was shot at 1300 GMT in the reception area of the council-run Flaxman Sports Centre in Camberwell.

The incident is being investigated by Operation Trident, which tackles gun crime in the black community.

Police say they are seeking two black males wearing hooded tops. The victim's injuries are not life-threatening.

The sports centre in Carew Street is run by Lambeth Council.
