Two on terror publication charge

Police have charged two people from Oldham, Greater Manchester, with a terrorism offence.

Amjad Mahmood, 29, and Shella Roma, 27, both of Chester Road, Werneth, were charged under the Terrorism Act 2006.

They are suspected of distributing or circulating a terrorist publication, which directly or indirectly encourages acts of terrorism.

The pair have been bailed and will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 12 February.
