Juror discharged in Menezes trial
Jean Charles de Menezes
Mr Menezes was mistaken for a suicide bomber
A juror has been discharged in the Metropolitan Police trial over the death of Jean Charles de Menezes.

The Old Bailey jury will continue considering the shooting at Stockwell Tube station in 2005 with 11 members.

They have already seen CCTV footage from the day of the incident showing Mr de Menezes being following into the London station by armed officers.

The force denies breaking health and safety laws during the operation when it mistook him for a suicide bomber.

The jury also heard evidence of a police log of events on the day when the innocent Brazilian was shot dead on a Tube train on 22 July 2005.

The log recorded criticisms of the operation by Commander Cressida Dick, the operations room commander at Scotland Yard on the day.

She was recorded saying that the first hour of the operation had "no structure".

The case was adjourned until Friday.
