A 17-year-old boy has been charged with two offences under the Terrorism Act, West Yorkshire police said.
The teenager faces charges under the Terrorism Act 2000
The teenager, who was arrested at an address in the Dewsbury area on Monday, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Friday.
Officers say the first charge relates to the possession of material for terrorist purposes.
The second relates to the collection or possession of information useful in the preparation of an act of terrorism.
