Teen arrested on terror charges

The teenager was arrested under the Terrorism Act

A 17-year-old male has been charged with offences under the Terrorism Act, West Yorkshire police have said.

The teenager, from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire has been charged with two offences. He was arrested by officers on 11 September.

He will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

The charges relate to possessing material for terrorism purposes and collecting or possessing information useful in preparing a terrorist act.
