Mother charged with baby's murder
Burnley shopping centre
The baby was last seen in Burnley town centre
Police have charged the mother of a four-month-old girl, whose body was found in a canal, with her murder.

Robina Hashim, 29, from Burnley, is due to appear in court later on Wednesday.

A massive search was mounted after Emma Jane Dyson was reported missing on Tuesday.

Four hours later the baby's body was found in the Leeds-Liverpool canal a short distance from the family's home in the town.

Lancashire Police said that a post mortem examination carried had shown that Emma died of drowning.

The baby's father has also been spoken to by police.

The Lancashire Police helicopter was used earlier to scour the town from the air.
