Olympic lottery games make £150m
Lord Coe
The first Olympic scratch card was launched in 2005
Special lottery games have already raised £150m for the 2012 London Olympics, organisers have said.

The hope is some scratch cards, the Dream Number and interactive games will make £750m to help pay for new venues and the Olympic village in Stratford.

The takings to date, which are ahead of forecasts, make up part of £2.2bn in lottery money set for the Olympics.

The first Olympics scratch card, entitled Go for Gold, was launched in July 2005.

Olympic organising committee chairman Lord Coe said: "The money raised to date will play an important role in making sure we deliver a legacy that will outlast us all and be enjoyed in 2012 and beyond."

David Higgins, the chief executive of the Olympic Delivery Authority, which is building the facilities, described the announcement as "another important achievement".
