Six men charged under terror act

Abu Izzadeen was one of six men charged
Six men have been charged under the Terrorism Act 2000 following a series of arrests in London and Luton.

They are Abu Izzadeen, 32, Shal Jalal Hussain, 24, Omar Zaheer, 27, Simon Keeler, 35, Ibrahim Abdullah Hassan, 21 and Rajib Khan, 28.

They will appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday, charged with fund-raising under the act.

Mr Izzadeen, also known as Omar Brooks, Mr Keeler, Mr Hassan and Mr Khan are also charged with incitement.

In addition, Mr Hassan is charged with possession of articles suspected to be connected with the commission, preparation or instigation of a terrorist act.

The six men were arrested in a series of raids on Tuesday.

Mr Izzadeen, Mr Hussain, Mr Keeler and Mr Hassan are all from east London. Mr Zaheer is from Southall in west London and Mr Khan is from Luton.
