Serious flooding caused by torrential rain on Monday is continuing to cause havoc in many places in England.

Doncaster:

  • Emergency services search for man missing in a dyke in the nearby village of Adwick le Street
  • Dozens of people evacuated from the village of Tollbar

    Sheffield:

  • Some 16,000 homes remain without power

    Worcestershire:

  • 25 people evacuated from the village of Powick

    Newark:

  • Roads closed after the River Trent bursts its banks

    Lincolnshire:

  • Residents of Bransby evacuated to Lincoln College, joining 20 people who spent the night there

    TUESDAY 26 JUNE

    Worcestershire:

  • Motorist swept to his death by rising floodwaters in Pershore

    Sheffield:

  • 900 people evacuated to emergency shelters
  • Officials estimate "significant damage" to the city
  • Severe disruption to road and rail transport

    Ulley reservoir, nr. Rotherham:

  • Amid fears that a dam may burst, about 700 people are evacuated from the villages of Whiston, Canklow, and Catcliffe and Treeton Nearby M1 motorway closed between junctions 32 and 36

    Lincolnshire:

  • Nine-year old boy rescued from swollen river
  • 60 houses evacuated in Louth
  • Block of 120 flats evacuated in Lincoln

    Ludlow, Shropshire:

  • Bridge collapses, severing a gas main.

    Gloucester:

  • 5 schools closed due to flooding

    MONDAY 25 JUNE

    East Yorkshire:

  • Man dies after being trapped in a drain
  • Fire crews receive 1,500 emergency calls in a 12-hour period

    Sheffield:

  • Teenage boy and a 68-year-old man swept to their deaths by floodwater
  • 900 people evacuated to emergency shelters

    Leeds:

  • 70 houses in Halton area evacuated
  • 5 schools closed

    Lowdham, Notts:

  • 100 people evacuated

    Gloucester:

  • 88 people rescued by fire crews, all uninjured
