Rain again plagues royal visitors
Queen and Duke of Edinburgh
The Queen and Duke cut a cake in the shape of Alberta's parliament
Rain has plagued the Queen's Canadian tour again, this time in Alberta.

Part of a party to mark the province's centenary as part of Canada was washed out and a 21-gun salute had to be reduced after a truck crash.

However, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh still managed to review a guard of honour.

They are on a nine-day trip to mark the centenary of Saskatchewan and Alberta's entry into the Confederation and have already visited Saskatchewan.

The Queen has visited Canada at least 22 times. Her last visit was in October 2002 for the Golden Jubilee tour.

She is the head of state in Canada, a member of the Commonwealth.
