HSBC work experience for prince
Prince William meets young people while volunteering
Prince William has recently graduated from St Andrews University
Prince William will join the HSBC bank as part of his post-university work experience, it has been announced.

The prince will spend three weeks shadowing staff, mostly in the charity services division.

Clarence House said it had been looking for a successful bank where the prince could experience a range of activities.

The prince joins HSBC - the world's second biggest bank - in early November, but will also be visiting other institutions.

'Really appealed'

Prince William has recently undertaken land management experience on a country estate, and is also set to spend time with a mountain rescue team.

He said this "really appealed" to him, because: "I can learn at first hand how these amazing people help save lives on a regular basis."

William passed entry examinations for Army officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in June and is expected to join the prestigious college next year.
