Police await resort death autopsy
Police at the scene
Police were called to the resort on Christmas Eve
Police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem on a man who died following a "disturbance" at a Butlins resort in Bognor Regis, West Sussex.

It is likely to be held on Monday, to determine the exact cause of death of the man, who has not been named.

A second man was reported to have been seriously injured in the incident, which took place just before 1900 GMT on Christmas Eve at South Coast World.

Four men were arrested and are still being questioned by Sussex police.

'Cracking down'

A Butlins spokesman said the disturbance happened in a bar and appeared to be confined to one group of guests.

The area of the attack was cordoned off and police are appealing for witnesses.

The dead man was not found at the scene.

The disturbance happened just days after Butlins said it would be cracking down on trouble at its resorts over the Christmas period.

Butlins said thousands of people were staying at the resort over the Christmas break.
