Peter Phillips was on his way to the Shanghai circuit
The Queen's grandson has escaped injury after being involved in a car crash on his way to the Chinese Grand Prix.

Peter Phillips, who is Princess Anne's son, was in a van which was hit by a car on the way to the Shanghai circuit.

Mr Phillips was one of four Williams F1 team employees in the van who were involved in the accident.

A Williams spokeswoman said two of his colleagues were taken to hospital for further checks but neither were seriously hurt.

None of the other occupants of the other vehicle were hurt.
