TV actress Leslie Ash has broken a rib while having sex with her husband, former footballer husband Lee Chapman.
An embarrassed Ms Ash, 43, star of Merseybeat and Men Behaving Badly, said she had hit a bedside table.
Mr Chapman, a former Leeds United and Arsenal striker, was arrested but later released after his wife phoned an ambulance and then abandoned the call.
The sitcom star told the Sun newspaper: "We were making love and this happens. How embarrassing is that?"
She added: "The injuries happened when I hit a bedside table."
Arrest
In a statement Scotland Yard said: "A woman in her 40s was taken to a west London hospital suffering injuries
including a broken rib. She remains in a stable condition and is being detained
overnight for observation."

The statement added: "A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene in
connection with the incident and taken to Fulham police station.
"The woman did not wish to proceed with any allegation of assault and the man
was released. No further action was taken."
Ms Ash first hit the screens aged four when she featured in a washing up liquid commercial.
In December she complained that she did not deserve the relentless jibes she has endured since having cosmetic surgery, which earned her the nickname "trout pout".
As well as running a number of restaurant-bars, the couple have in the past presented London Weekend Television programme Dinner Dates.
