First UK win on Euro lottery draw
Euro millions sale in Paris
The first draw was in February 2004
A EuroMillions ticket bought in Britain has scooped the jackpot for the first time, UK lottery operator Camelot says.

Camelot said the unknown ticketholder won 16.7m - the biggest prize since the draw was launched in February.

The draw links the UK lottery to its equivalents in France and Spain - where previous winning tickets were bought.

It is the sixth richest prize in UK lottery history.

The 22.6m prize won by Mark Gardiner and Paul Maddison, of East Sussex, in 1995 remains the record

To win the jackpot, players need to match five main numbers from 1 to 50 - and 2 Lucky Star numbers from 1 to 9.
