Six people suspected of terror activities have been re-arrested on lesser charges, Scotland Yard has said.
The six had been taken into custody after Anti-Terrorist Branch officers swooped on premises in Cambridge and London early on Tuesday.
They were released under terror laws but re-arrested on other matters such as bank fraud and immigration offences.
Four of the six, all men, are still in custody, while two women have been bailed until February.
All six were originally arrested under section 41 of the Terrorism Act, on
suspicion of involvement in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts
of terrorism.
Re-arrests
A 27-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, originally arrested in Cambridge, were re-arrested on suspicion of bank
fraud and immigration offences and both remain in custody.
A 34-year-old man, arrested in east London on the same day, was re-arrested over immigration offences and remains in custody.
An 18-year-old and a 20-year-old woman, arrested in Cambridge, were both re-arrested over immigration
offences and bailed until February.
The sixth man, Ahmed Boutouche, 27, also arrested in Cambridge, is in custody on passport and other
document forgery charges.
Mr Boutouche, from Romans Court in Cambridge, appeared before magistrates in Peterborough on Saturday.
The UK has been on a state of alert for two weeks after officials warned intelligence reports suggested there was a viable threat.
