Have you met the Queen?
Well-wishers greet the Queen on a tour of Manchester in 1999
Well-wishers greet the Queen in Manchester in 1999
For 50 years the Queen has placed public service - and meeting the public - at the heart of her reign.

From the days of her coronation in 1952 through to her weekly walkabouts today, the Queen has met thousands of people over the years as she has toured Britain, the Commonwealth and the rest of the world.

Now, in her golden jubilee year, the Queen has embarked on a special tour of the UK to look back over her five decades.

Earlier in the year she undertook a special golden jubilee tour of parts of the Commonwealth including Jamaica, Australia and New Zealand.

The jubilee's main celebrations in June aim to involve as many people as possible in an national and international celebration of the British Monarchy. And that's where you come in.

As part of our coverage of these events, we want to hear from anybody who has a story to tell about the time they met the Queen.

We want you to share your memories of the day and what it meant to you to meet her.

We want to hear from you whether you met her in the UK or abroad and whether you were a child or an adult. And, if you have pictures of the occasion, we'd like to publish them too.

To take part, send us your contact details in the form below and tell us a little bit about the day you met the Queen. Please let us know if you have pictures. (Don't worry at the moment about sending them). Once you've sent the form, your browser will go to our golden jubilee coverage.
