Picture gallery: Paying tribute
Mourners wishing to pay their last respects to the Queen Mother have been queuing night and day to see her lying-in-state at Westminster Hall.
In Saturday's spring sunshine, the lines of people are stretching several miles long, while the atmosphere inside the hall is described as "moving" and "awesome".
Queues began to form early on Saturday morning
People of all ages stand patiently in line, with the wait by mid-morning estimated to be up to six hours
Well-wishers have plenty of time to chat and swap stories before they reach the entrance to the hall
Once inside Westminster Hall, the atmosphere turns more solemn
Mourners have described the experience as "beautiful" and "moving"
At Aintree, a bandsman pauses for a minute's silence ahead of the Grand National
