Man shot dead at isolated farm
Mount Pleasant Farm
Ballistics experts are examining the scene
Police have launched a murder inquiry after a man was found with gunshot wounds to his head at a secluded Staffordshire farm.

The man was discovered at 1630 BST on Saturday at Mount Pleasant Farm, Grindley.

Police cordoned off the road while forensic examinations took place.

A post mortem examination was carried out on Sunday.

A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: "Home office pathologist Dr Klaus Chen carried out the procedure at Staffordshire General Hospital and certified the cause of death as being from a number of gun shot wounds to the head."

An incident room has been set up at the police complex on Weston Road, Stafford.

The white man, in his 40s, has not yet been formally identified.

Police are hoping to release his identity on Monday afternoon.
