A biker travelling on a motorway in Warwickshire has been shot in what police are calling an "indiscriminate" attack.

Detectives said a group of three motorbikes and a camper van were returning from the Bulldog Bash at Long Marston, Warwickshire.

The motorcyclists, from Canada and France, were travelling in the inside lane towards Oxford when they realised they were being shot at from a vehicle in the middle lane.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: "The party was about two miles south of Barn Hill Services when they became aware they were being fired at from a dark coloured vehicle.
