Inquest into Barrymore pool tragedy

The inquest into the death of a 31-year-old man found in a swimming pool at the home of entertainer Michael Barrymore has been opened.
Stuart Lubbock, 31, died in hospital on Saturday after being found unconscious at Barrymore's home in Roydon, Essex.
A police spokeswoman said the inquest was formally opened on Thursday but adjourned to a date yet to be fixed. Further toxicology tests are being carried out and the results of those will not be known for several weeks. A full inquiry into Mr Lubbock's death will take place later in the year. Police have questioned Barrymore in connection with the incident, and are now talking to neighbours and possible witnesses about the events which led up to Mr Lubbock's death. Unconscious It is understood Barrymore was at the Millennium nightclub in Harlow with Mr Lubbock and two other people late on Friday. A taxi driver has told how he took Barrymore and three other people to the star's home at about 0230BST on Saturday.
He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, but died two hours later despite efforts to revive him. Michael Barrymore was treated for depression and stress at a private clinic following the discovery of Mr Lubbock's body.
