UK internet adviser Tanya Byron's call to parents

Government internet adviser Tanya Byron says parents make the biggest difference to child online safety.

Two years after launching a review into how to protect children from dangers on the internet, the child psychologist has told the BBC that families who oversee children's internet use can limit the risks more than any other controls.

She says young children should be discouraged from using social networking sites.
