Google tracks Father Christmas

Google has joined the US Government's traditional Santa Tracking, run by Norad.

Brian McClendon, engineering director for Google Earth and Google Maps, talks about the effort and takes a look at a recap of last year's journey.

This year, children around the world can track Santa's progress through Google Maps, and video feeds will be posted on YouTube.

Children can also use the Twitter microblogging service or send emails to find out about Santa's whereabouts minute to minute.
