You quizzed novelist Michael Chabon
![]()
Michael Chabon won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature last month for his latest novel, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.
The book chronicles the rise of two Jewish cousins who write comic books in the late '30s and '40s. Chabon studied creative writing at the University of California. His master's thesis, a novel called The Mysteries Of Pittsburgh, tells the story of a confused young man coming to terms with his sexuality. He worked on a novel called Fountain City for many years but failed to finish it. His frustrations became one ingredient of Wonder Boys, a novel about a stalled novelist. The book was recently turned into a film starring Michael Douglas.
