Some naturalists fear that the British bluebell may be under threat. Send us your pictures of bluebells to: yourpics@bbc.co.uk

Over the last few years there has been growing concern amongst some naturalists that Britain's native species of bluebell may be under threat from breeding with the cultivated Spanish variety.

The Natural History Museum, the charity Plantlife and the Ramblers Association are asking the public to take part in an online survey to find out what the true situation is. Follow the link below to take part:

We want to see pictures of the flower in your area. We will show the best on the website and on the BBC News at Six.

You could also try to spot the different varieties in your area. British bluebells droop and have flowers just on one side and are sweetly scented. The Spanish flowers have larger flared flowers with little or no smell. To read a more detailed explanation follow the link below:
