The Angel of the North: Your pictures
The Angel of the North
Anthony Gormley's giant artwork was unveiled ten years ago. Send us your pictures and your memories of what is believed to be the largest angel sculpture in the world.

It is as tall as four double decker buses and weighs two hundred tonnes and it is hoped its wings of steel will last for 100 years.

The Angel of the North has captured the hearts and the imagination of motorists on the nearby A1 and the residents of Gateshead in the North East of England. It is estimated that 90,000 people get a view of the heavenly figure every day.

Are you one of those people who has fallen in love with the Angel of the North? Or do you think it is a blot on the landscape?
