Finding the 'missing' schoolchildren
School children at assembly
Has your child been excluded from school and not returned to education? Do you know somebody who has disappeared from any school register?

A BBC investigation is looking into reports that thousands of children go missing from the school register each year. These are children who have apparently fallen off the radar , "the disappeared", as one government agency put it.

They are not necessarily children who have been permanently excluded, but children who are completely unknown to the authorities. They may, for example, have been taken to another area by their parents and not enrolled in a new school.

Do you have any experiences relating to this story you can share with the BBC?
