Interactive Lecture with Kofi Annan

Kofi Annan presented a special BBC World Service lecture from the United Nations building on 10 December, to mark the 70th anniversary of the World Service.

In this special Talking Point, presented by Robin Lustig, you put your questions to the UN Secretary-General.

In answer to one question, Mr Annan described as "unfortunate" the Security Council's handling of the Iraqi weapons declaration, amid continuing discontent over Washington's role in the matter.

Mr Annan also said the decision to allow the US to take the only complete copy of the document to edit it before it was released to non-permanent Council members "was fine, but the approach and style were wrong".
