Talking Point

Where is the most boring place on earth?

Have you ever been somewhere and thought it was the dullest place you had ever been?

Maybe you went on holiday and the destination turned out to be about as exciting as a wet kipper.

Perhaps your relatives live in a sprawling housing estate in a new town with nothing to offer except characterless theme pubs and multiplex cinemas.

Or maybe you have travelled abroad to visit friends and realised you were in an unforgiving hell.

One woman regards her hometown of Norwich with such distaste that she wrote a letter to her local paper to complain.

Not only did mother-of-three June Wilson write off the town as boring, she went on to label Norfolk locals as rude, apathetic, ignorant, unfriendly and extremely jealous.

The city folk were not best pleased with these comments and have waged a hate campaign in retaliation.

Mrs Wilson has since been plagued by phone-calls, hate mail and threats. Un-ordered pizzas were delivered to her address, a taxi turned up at the door and now police officers are investigating the worst abuses.

Have you come across a place that you find so tedious you have to stifle your yawns?

What do you think?

Where is the most boring place on earth?
