There are just over two weeks to go before the general elections in Germany.

After lagging behind in the polls for months, Chancellor Helmut Kohl now seems to be catching up on his Social Democrat rival, Gerhard Schroeder.

But what does Europe want from the election ?

Another four years for Mr Kohl - to add to the 16 he has already had ? Or a new face, with new policies for the new millennium ?
