Uruguay may not break many records at the 1999 World Cup but they will certainly have the oldest player in skipper Diego Ormaechea.

The Montevideo-born back row player will also be one of the most passionate at the tournament, as he is fiercely proud to represent his country at the World Cup finals.

Uruguay completed a marathon to make it to the finals - including the repechage - and throughout Ormaechea was the platform, scoring eight tries.

He will turn 40 just 12 days before he leads Uruguay in their first match against Spain on October 2.
