Horgan back for Ireland

Horgan made a big impact against Italy and Scotland
Wing Shane Horgan has passed a fitness test to reclaim his place in the Ireland team to face Wales in the Six Nations this Saturday.

He replaces Kevin Maggs on the right wing, having occupied that position for the Irish victories over Scotland and Italy before damaging his knee.

Maggs drops to the bench despite playing a part in Ireland's historic win in Paris two weeks ago, while Mike Mullins is relegated to the A side.

Maggs: Takes the drop
The Irish go into their last match needing a miracle to win the Six Nations.

In order to come top, not only will Ireland have to beat Wales and the English have to lose to winless Scotland in Murrayfield, but the Irish will have to make up a points-difference deficit of 80.

Nonetheless, the Green Machine is looking at its best finish in the Nations tournament for more than a decade.

Team

15-Girvan Dempsey; 14-Shane Horgan, 13-Brian O'Driscoll, 12-Rob Henderson, 11-Denis Hickie; 10-Ronan O'Gara, 9-Peter Stringer; 8-Anthony Foley, 7-Kieron Dawson, 6-Simon Easterby, 5-Malcolm O'Kelly, 4-Mick Galwey, 3-John Hayes, 2-Keith Wood (captain), 1-Peter Clohessy.
