Two new caps for Irish
![]() Debutant: David Wallace will make his test debut
Two players will make their test debuts for Ireland after being named in the team to take on Argentina in Buenos Aires on Saturday.
St Mary's College fullback Peter McKenna and Garryowen flanker David Wallace will win their first caps in the first match of a three-test tour of the Americas. Wallace scored a try for Munster in their European Cup final defeat at the hands of Northampton. McKenna gets the call following an injury to fullback Girvan Dempsey in Ireland's 31-30 defeat by the Barbarians in Dublin on Sunday. Injuries The Irish side are also without wing Denis Hickie and utility three-quarter Geordan Murphy who were casualties of the Barbarians fixture and will miss the tour. Other features of the team include the relegation of Six Nations fly-half Ronan O'Gara to the bench. He has been replaced in the starting XV by David Humphreys. Lock Jeremy Davidson was not considered for the match due to a shoulder injury but is expected to be available for the June 10 fixture against the United States. Ireland conclude their tour with a test against Canada on June 17.
