Could Brian O'Driscoll go one better than against France?
The Irish rugby team will have an extra incentive to defeat Wales in their final Six Nations clash in Dublin on Saturday, after £750,000 was offered to any player who can run in four tries.

The cash - Ir£1m - has been put up by a telephone company to mark two individual match-winning performances by members of the team this season.

Captain Keith Wood notched up four tries against the USA in October
Captain Keith Wood scored four tries against the USA in October, and centre Brian O'Driscoll scored three spectacular tries against France in Paris earlier this month.

Announcing the offer, the managing director of Carphone Warehouse Ireland, Stephen Mackarel, said the prize reflected the national team's recent success.

"It as a reflection of our confidence in the Irish team and their ability to win the match," he said.

"With the pool of talent on the current Irish side, any one of them could achieve this goal.

"In the Six Nations Championship Ireland are on a roll at the moment.

"Brian O'Driscoll scored three tries in the last match, and with the continuous improvement in the Irish performance there is a very real prospect that an Irish player could go one better this time.

"We feel that setting a dramatic goal like this will help focus the players on delivering a winning and entertaining game."
