Button bright about future
Jenson Button
Which car will Button be getting into next season?
Jenson Button is expected to be told this week whether or not he will be racing for BMW Williams next season.

But the British youngster is confident that even if he is forced to make way for Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya he will still be competing in Formula One in 2001.

Button told the Sun newspaper: "I feel I've done enough to warrant a regular place in F1. I'd give up now if I didn't feel that I can race with the best.

"Obviously I would like to stay with Williams but I have spoken to a couple of other teams just in case that is not possible."

Button has been linked with Jordan and Jaguar

Those teams are believed to be Jordan and Jaguar Racing who like many have been impressed with the emergence of Button this season.

Britain's youngest-ever F1 star has recorded two finishes in the points in his first eight races and has proved a bright new addition to the scene.

Button is on a long-term rolling contract with Williams but the team have hinted that they would be prepared to loan him out to another team to allow 24-year-old Montoya his chance.
