Boro need to spoil Coventry awayday

Bad night all round: Gascoigne's broken arm

Coventry have yet to win away in the league this season - but what better place to go on Saturday than struggling Middlesbrough?

If they watched Boro's abject televised 4-0 defeat by Aston Villa on Monday, the Sky Blues will surely be confident of returning from from the north east with all three points

Middlesbrough boss Bryan Robson has survived another crisis week at the club, who have only won once since October.

It's up to the lads to cut out the daft mistakes that we're making at the moment

Before the Villa disaster, in which Paul Gascoigne broke his arm, the previous home game saw Derby win 4-1 at the Riverside.

And Robson admits the latest visitors will provide tough opposition, with Robbie Keane, Youssef Chippo and Mustafa Hadji all having starred in last Saturday's 3-2 win over Sunderland.

"Coventry are doing very well," said Robson "The two Moroccans have come in and done well and Robbie Keane is nice and lively up front for them, and they're on a roll at the moment.

Coventry: Starring at home but have not won away
"It's up to the lads to cut out the daft mistakes that we're making at the moment - we're gifting teams games.

"But the lads have been working hard in training and we couldn't get any more out of them.

"Over the years we've had a good record against Coventry and we've got to keep that record going. We've got home advantage and we've got to make that count."

Christian Ziege and Hamilton Ricard return from suspension while Gary Pallister has managed to shake off a back injury.

But Keith O'Neill damaged a groin in the 4-0 defeat by Aston Villa on Monday night and is ruled out for several weeks.

Bryan Robson needs three points
Coventry's England squad member Steve Froggatt is unlikely to play after injuring an ankle against Sunderland last weekend.

Irish midfielder Barry Quinn may come in, although David Burrows could win a recall after three months out with a knee ligament problem.

The Sky Blues also hope to have Carlton Palmer back in midfield after he missed last weekend's match with an ankle strain.

Striker Noel Whelan may be on the bench as cover for either Cedric Roussel or Keane following a calf injury.
